COMPOSER’S NOTE

From the Number One selling album Angel, this is an a cappella setting of the opening words of the Angelus, an ancient Christian prayer dating from at least the 11th Century.  This piece is dedicated to Edward Higginbottom and the Choir of New College Oxford who sang on the album.
