The sheet music for The Fire of Love and Songs of Innocence have just been released by GIA Publications.
The Fire of Love is adapted from the writings of the fourteenth-century English mystic Richard Rolle. Patrick’s librettist brother Andrew has created six beautiful new ‘song’ texts which Patrick has set for choir, piano and string quartet. And for the second collection, Patrick set nine of William Blake’s Songs of Innocence. The fragile poetry gives rise to tender and heartfelt music for choir and piano.
As well as the full collections, sheet music is available for some of the individual works: This Fire and This Is the Love from The Fire of Love and The Lamb and A Cradle Song from Songs of Innocence.
