Patrick was delighted to conduct the English Chamber Orchestra and harpist Mared Emyr Pugh-Evans in a performance of Highgrove Suite on Saturday evening.  The concert in Holy Trinity Church, Minchinhampton was part of Music In Country Churches, a fantastic organisation bringing top class music and musicians to rural areas, and this weekend’s concert, on a glorious summer evening in the Cotswolds just down the road from Highgrove House, was very special.

As well as conducting the Highgrove Suite, Patrick also conducted the ECO in the Howell’s Suite.  The orchestra also performed the Adagietto from Mahler’s 5th Symphony as a tribute to Quin Ballardie – founder of the ECO – who died earlier this year.
