COMPOSER’S NOTE

Written for the then organist of Rochester Cathedral, Roger Sayer, who first performed this piece on the organ of Westminster Cathedral on 10th May 2009 as part of the London Festival of Contemporary Church Music.

It is dedicated to ‘the joyful remembrance’ of my father and is inspired by the exuberance, humour and unflinching hope, faith and love of a great man.
